As I was translating, I got a feeling of real dread…this is really chilling!
-About Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin
Regrettably, in Kazakhstan (former Soviet Union republic) they are not monitoring and appreciating Donald Trump’s activities on the world stage and in USA internal politics. This is important for our country because Trump’s turbulent politics are changing the world on a global scale and the values previously shared by nations. The roots of world order are changing, so our country must adapt and find its rightful place.
Donald Trump hangs on FSB’s (the formerly KGB) hook and the hook is digging in deeper and deeper. From my personal work in the KGB, I can say that Trump is in the category of the most attractive potential assets. I have no doubt that Russia has compromising material on the President of the USA, and that over many years, the Kremlin has been pushing Trump towards becoming the President of the world’s most powerful country.
The ruling elite of the USA clearly understand that their president is deeply reliant on the Kremlin, but they would never openly admit to this due to America’s status of the world’s most powerful country. Of course they conduct investigations, put members of the White House’s administration on trial, publish critical articles. Certain authoritative persons, Congressmen, call Trump a traitor. I doubt whether they will get anywhere. Donald Trump, being an autocrat and a real dictator, has gripped the White House with tooth and nail.
Putin simply is mocking the whole world when, with a cunning smile and acting according to his peculiar sense of “protecting his court”, he denies that Trump is reliant on the Kremlin. Likewise, Trump actively and recklessly plays along with Putin by also denying their secret partnership, in order to retain his presidential throne. All this is conducted on the verge of foul play and is characteristic of autocrats, adventurists, and brothers-in-arm.
In this situation, Trump went all-in placing at the “Altar of Battle for Power”, a cherished image of a “cool Yankee” and bowing in front of President Putin. Through his actions and declarations, he may as well be saying, “Yes, that’s the kind of traitor I am, I destroy democracy, I make enemies out of my allies, I humiliate their leaders, I support the dictators Duterte (former president of the Philippines) and Nazarbayev (former president of Kazakhstan), I legitimize Kim Jong Un (leader of North Korea) and obey Putin. At the same time, he hopes that the American bureaucracy never presses him to confess that he is an agent of Moscow. And if, he, together with Putin, wins this battle, then Trump will, in his next term of presidency, ensure a comfortable stay at the White House by appointing his loyalists in all branches of power and power structures.
Will the centuries-old American democracy survive under him? Trump’s chances against the ruling elite, which personifies American democracy in the USA, today, in my opinion is 50/50.
